Counselor Origins

My counseling experience has been with individuals in transitional living, residential, and outpatient programs including opioid treatment. Further, Barry has developed a passion for working with trauma and other types of life stressors. Barry’s past patients are of various diverse backgrounds. Barry tends to serve clients based on their mental health needs and life concerns expressed. Barry focuses on providing evidence based care for those who see me and working towards assisting with their self-actualization.

Personal Values

I value family and community highly. I have found that the people we surround ourselves with have to potential to motivate us to become the best version of ourselves. I love to travel and learn about new cultures and ways that people interact with each other.

Mission

Providing culturally sensitive evidence based practices in order to provide a environment of healing, peace and serenity. Carolina Cultural Counseling is there to provide a safe-space to you and your family allowing them to work on becoming the best version of yourself. Counseling and professional development done in this way will lead to insight and a renewed perspective of life both personally and professionally. At the core of living life to its fullest is a clear sense of one’s purpose, the ability to navigate the difficulties of life, and a conscious awareness of how to support self and others while remaining authentic, present, and grounded.
